Mosey on Market

I'd been released from jury selection and hadn't eaten a thing all day. Leaving the Hall o' Justice I made my way to Market Street and my nearest fav, Show Dogs, for a tasty lamb and pork house made merguez sausage covered in fig chutney, house mustard and arugula.

That's a Prohibition Ale from Speakeasy Brewery if you were wondering.
If you've never been to Show Dogs you should give them a try. Co-owned by Gayle Pirie and John Clark of my beloved Foreign Cinema, Show Dogs features sausages made in house from all natural meats and organic ingredients. Other sausages on the menu come from Fatted Calf Charcuterie, Ryan Farr, and Golden Gate Meats. All condiments are made in-house with local ingredients. While the merguez has become my go-to, I'm also a fan of their house wild boar sausage with cherry chutney, house mustard, and arugula as well as the pickled hot link with Crater Lake blue cheese sauce. And don't forget the 49'er corn dog, sports fans. If you're not a sausage person - *gasp* - then try the pulled pork sandwich, steak frites, fried chicken, or grilled yellowtail.

Mmmmerguez!
Satisfyingly full on such a beautiful January afternoon I decided to mosey down Market a bit before grabbing a bus home. Along the way I ran across a tempting sign.

So say we all, Little Griddle SF.
Alas, I was too full for bacon - *gasp* - and went along my way. Not today, Little Griddle.

When I reached UN Plaza I was met with a happy sight.

Off the Grid!
Off the Grid SF is a chance for people to gather and experience the variety of food offered by the food truck boom. That afternoon's fare was provided by Nom Nom, Smokin' Warehouse BBQKara's CupcakesSenor Sisig, and more!

Coincidentally, I'd just been talking about OtG with Aron Ford of the Vesta Flatbread food truck at a dear friend's birthday dinner a few nights before and had kicked myself for not making it down to try out some new eats. Alas, I was still blissfully full of merguez. Until next time, Off the Grid.
