Tips and Tricks: Honey, it IS your Beeswax!

Rented hive boxes set at the edge of an orchard,  a very common sight in the Central Valley.
Is is too early in the morning for Fernet Branca? [ Editor's note: never! ] Try honey, a vitamin and nutrient rich raw superfood that boosts digestion, contains needed enzymes and just tastes good.

Also, not a single one of us would be alive today if it weren't for bees.

Digestive booster:

Mix honey and vinegar together. Add water and drink once daily to aid digestion.

I enjoy this as a hot tea every night.

Conditioner for dry and damaged hair:

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
Mix ingredients together. Using a small amount at a time, work mixture through hair until coated. Cover hair with a shower cap or wrap in a towel and leave on 30 minutes. Shampoo well, rinse and dry as normal.

Minor acne flare-ups

  • 1/3 cup warm water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon honey
  • 1 cotton ball
  • 1 cotton swab
Mix together water and salt. Using a cotton ball, apply directly to blemish. Maintain pressure with cotton ball for several minutes to soften blemish. Using cotton swab, dab honey on blemish. Leave on 10 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.

Bees make flowers happen.
Flowers, one of the many benefits of bees.
