Easy Strawberry-Banana Ice Cream

Is it ready?

Unless you're hidden away in some volcanic lair below the equator with no social media connection you've no doubt felt the cold or at least have heard about it continuously since the weather turned on us. Right now there is a serious frost covering my back yard on the coast side of Orange County. If oranges were still grown here, well, there would be a problem.

So, here is a recipe for ice cream. What? It's topical, right?

As always, this recipe is heavy on the vanilla. What can I say? I love it.

Strawberry-Banana Ice Cream

2 Cups fresh strawberries and banana, mashed in a food processor or blender
2 Cups heavy cream
2 Cups Trader Joe's Vanilla Almond Beverage
1 Cup white sugar
1/4 Teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons vanilla extract

When the strawberries and banana are well mashed, add the rest of the ingredients to your food processor or blender and mix thoroughly. Pour the resulting mixture into your ice cream machine and let 'er rip. You have to try this ice cream. Yes, I know. It's cold.
