The Rebooted Rear Admiral |
The Rear Admiral (Re-Rebooted):
2 oz añejo tequila
1 oz fennel syrup*
3 large muddled chocolate mint leaves
A thousand years ago some friends and I came up with a bourbon cocktail that I had dubbed The Rear Admiral. I'd thought that the name sounded like a funny monicker for a drink, what with the rear *snicker* and all. Whatever that drink may have been is lost in the mists of drunk. In the spirit of the way Hollyweird continues to ruin cinema, here's a rebooted reimagining of that *hiccup* *burp* cocktail.
The Rear Admiral:
2 oz añejo tequila
1 oz Torani Brand Amer
3 large muddled mint leaves (I used either chocolate mint leaves or apple mint)
Carefully muddle the mint leaves in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add ice, tequila, and amer. Stir to combine and pour into a chilled martini glass. Get fabulously drunk, responsibly.
